Hollywood Glampocalypse–The ICC Spring Dance
Glam it up! Let your fabulous inner beast out or come as you are. All are welcome to dance like it’s a fabulous end to the world!
The dance takes place April 13, 2013 from 8-11 pm at the Indiana Elks. Dress up, dress down, but definitely don’t miss out! Cover is $10 for the public, $5 for students. A cash bar is available for those 21 and older with ID.

Indiana Cares Campaign Mourns the Passing of Patricia Rawls
The Board and Members of the Indiana Cares Campaign mourns the loss of Board Member and Treasurer Patricia A, “Pat” Rawls.
Pat passed on February 2, 2013 following a valiant fight against brain cancer.
She was a soldier in the fight for women’s rights, a dedicated member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church and an animal lover.
A member of the Democratic Women’s committee, she continued active work in the recent campaign focusing on health care, as she was learning firsthand the limitations of our current system.
Surviving are her life partner, Carolyn Kerr; and sharing much of their time in Indiana, her granddaughter, Jessica Gremillion. *
Inspired by Pat’s work on behalf of women and the LGBTQ communities, the Indiana Cares Campaign established a scholarship fund in Rawls name in 2012. The Pat Rawls Memorial Scholarship aims to recognize individuals who have shown exemplary service on the part of the LGBTQ community, as well as academic excellence and community service.
“We feel this scholarship reinforces the ideals and actions that Pat embodied throughout her life,” said David Porter, chair of the scholarship committee.
The organization is currently working to establish a viable financial base for the fund, with a fundraising goal of $5000. Individuals wishing to make a charitable contribution to the scholarship fund should contact the Indiana Cares Campaign at indianacarescampaign@yahoo.com.

Bowling Party 2013!
Come o
ut and chase away the winter blues! The annual ICC/PFLAG Bowling Party is coming up in February. We will have giveaways, refreshments, cash bar, and, as always a lot of bowling and a lot of fun. We will also be having a 50/50 raffle in support of the Pat Rawls Scholarship Fund.
The fun begins at 7pm on Saturday, February 9, at the Indiana Elks Club on the lower level–475 S 13th St, Indiana, Pennsylvania 15701. There is a $5 cover in support of facilities rental and refreshments.
